Ownership and Management

The Journal of Economics, Business, and Government Challenges (EBGC), e-ISSN 2614-4115 and p-ISSN 1979-7117, is owned and published by Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur (UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur), Surabaya, Indonesia. The journal is managed by the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB).

1. Ownership

EBGC is owned by Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur and managed by its Faculty of Economics and Business. The journal was first published in 2007 as Jurnal Riset Ekonomi Bisnis and has been published under its current name since 2018.

2. Management

The journal is managed by an editorial team appointed by the publisher:

Editor-in-Chief: sets the editorial direction of the journal and makes the final decision on publication.
Editors and Section Editors: handle the editorial process, from initial screening and reviewer assignment to editorial recommendations.
Editorial Board: consists of scholars from Indonesia, Malaysia, and India who advise on the scope and quality of the journal and handle or review manuscripts in their fields of expertise.
Journal Manager: manages the journal system, copyediting, layout, and metadata.

3. Editorial Independence

The publisher provides the journal’s website and hosting, DOI registration through the university’s Technical Implementation Unit for Information and Communication Technology (UPT TIK), and administrative support, but does not interfere in editorial decisions. Decisions to accept or reject manuscripts rest solely with the editors, based on peer review and the journal’s Aims and Scope.

4. Funding

Article processing charges (APC) are paid by authors only after their manuscript has been accepted, as described on the Article Processing Charge page. The APC is paid directly to Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur, which manages the funds and covers the journal’s publication infrastructure. The journal does not receive any other funding. Payment of the APC has no influence on editorial decisions. JASF does not carry advertising.
